>>Try not to get too ahead of yourselves, guys. I won't be back until later tonight.<<
A shadow swept over the forest as the sun was momentarily covered by the clouds. It was not a particularly cloudy day, but there was even overcast to cover the sun, and keep back the heat. There was a light wind, and it swayed the trees. Leaves whirled up before the face of a cat, with powerful brown eyes.
Aero let out a sigh of relief. They had made it, but this is where the scent ended. He fur bristled, and he sat down, his auburn pelt gleaming as the sun once again emerged from the clouds. Aero had gone ahead of the rest of his group to check out the forest, but nothing seemed out of place. It was just like the forests back home, except in a different place-much, much different.
He waited for the rest of the group's arrival. He knew that they would be here any moment.

The shape would have looked like a living shadow if the white around her muzzle, chest, underbelly, lower legs and paws. Stopping at looking behind her, the shape continued on toward the auburn cat in front of her. Trotting to a stop, the female stopped and sat near her leader.
Keiko looked around with her yellow-amber-green eyes. This forest lookeo familiar, no wonder she had thought she was home when she woke up this morning. Looking toward her leader, she spoke in her soft and gentle, but dark-like voice.
"Aero, you're sure you know where Dinte is?"

>>Anyone remember who my second-in-command is?<<
Aero looked over, his eyes filled with hope, yet with a darkness that even he could not explain. "I can be sure of anything," he told Keiko. "But Dinte's scents lead here. It is our best bet to continue through these forests." His pelt quivered, and a shiver went up his spine. He did not like the feeling of being so vunerable, especially in a place in which he did not know.

Small ginger paws weaved their way around leaves and twigs, making Maeglin's progress towards the other two cats compltely silent. Her piercing eyes took in every aspect of each of them. Sizing them up physically again as she often did, and running those observations against their personality traits. It was a common thing for her to do. Aero, a good leader, intelligent. Strong and loyal. Keiko occasionally unpredictable. Fierce when it comes to enemies, but kind to those she cares for. And Maeglin herself. Silent as always. Watching as always. Never controvertial. Three different cats, but they fit so well. But where were the rest?
The wallflower cat crept closer to the duo, making sure they were aware she was there but sitting far enough away not to intrude into their conversation. She sat as a sentinel, watching the scenery and waiting for the others.

Hunter sat in the group he looked around, but Dinte was no where in sight. He shuffled his paws out of boredom, then turned to Aero. "But he doesn't seem to be here, are you sure it doesn't lead further?" hunter asked.

A silver cat slinked out of the bushes. "So, Aero, what are we going to do?", Nova meowed. She continued to sit with the rest of the group and claw the ground nervously. Her green eyes darting back and forth between the group of cats.

Aero seemed overwhelmed with doubt and questions, but he silenced the two. "We will keep going," he replied firmly. "Even though Dinte's scent ends here, he has to be in these forests. Besides, we're traveled too far to stop now. Dinte's crimes will be punished..." His voice trailed off, and his powerful muslces let out a quiver.

Maeglin eyed the two new arrivals out of the corner of an eye. Twitchy lot. Bit impatient, both of them. But generally good cats. When she heard Aero's response to their questions, she nodded her head in agreement. We must continue on. It would be horrible for morale to stop now when we've come so close. He must be near, I can sense it. She let out an inaudible sigh. If only she had a voice to speak of her opinions... she shook her head. Nothing could change that. She had to simply deal with what she had. She rose from her singluar position on the fringes of the group and joined them, smiling slightly at them before sitting again.
